A.W. Greenleaf, Vice President of the Waterville and Washington Railroad Company, and Treasurer of the Republican Valley Railway Company, died in New York last night at 10 o'clock after a short illness. He was the senior member of the firm of Greenleaf, Norris & Co., Bankers, of 66 Exchange Place, New York, and 128 La Salle street, Chicago. As a remarkable coincidence, his partner, Mr. Norris, died suddenly only 12 days before, on the 16th of February. Mr. G. was one of the live business men of the Central Branch Directory, and the general offices in this city are draped in mourning.
