Mrs. Edward Sundburg Was Club President
Longmeadow - Mrs. Eva M. (Teece) (Chapin) Sundburg, 82, of 67 Windsor Place, formerly of West Springfield, retired employee at the former Gilbert and Barker Manufacturing Co., West Springfield, died Friday in a local nursing home.
Born in Windsor Mills, Quebec, Canada, she lived in West Springfield many years before moving here eight years ago.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Springfield, a past president of the Tuesday Morning Club of the Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.
She leaves her husband, Edward Sundburg, a former vice president of Gilbert and Barker Manufacturing Co.; a son, Kenneth D. Chapin of West Springfield; a daughter, Mrs. Janet Taylor of West Springfield, nine Grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A private funeral will be today at Curran-Jones funeral home, West Springfield. Burial will be in Hillcrest Park Cemetery. Donations may be made to Memorial fund at the First Baptist Church.
