Youngest licensed female ham operator in the world in the early 1900s. Only child of William and Ida Lindsay. Mrs. "Mac" raised daughter June in Hapeville, GA and worked for the City Manager of Atlanta for many, many years. Worked at and saw Hartsville Airport expand from a small airport prior to the 1960s to a major hub. Active in civic organizations, speaking clubs and her church. After retiring, she moved to CA, to live near her family, but her roots remained in GA and the airport. Daily she watches the planes fly overhead!
