Arloine W. "Holly" Alleger, 91, a resident of Pleasant Valley Manor in Hamilton Township, died Thursday morning, September 6, at the VNA Hospice House in East Stroudsburg.

Born on October 17, 1915 in Michigan, ND, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Mary (Ziegler) Wilder and lived in Monroe County since 1933.

A graduate of Moosic High School class of 1933, Arloine had helped on the family farm and worked at Manitou Cottages; the Stroudsburg Hosiery Mill; Wyckoffs store; Redmond Finishing and the Shoe Factory.

She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Stroudsburg; the George N. Kemp Post 346 American Legion Auxiliary in East Stroudsburg and was one of the first members of the Stroud Township Volunteer Fire Company's ladies auxiliary.

She is survived by two daughters, Marlene LaBar and her husband Charles and Kathryn Caton, all of East Stroudsburg; a granddaughter, Arlynn LaBar, of East Stroudsburg; a great grandson, Weston LaBar, of East Stroudsburg; a sister, Martha Thomas and her husband Phillip, of Moosic and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Dorothy Alleger; two brothers, Frank Wilder and George Wilder and a sister, Emma Lucke.
