DEATH OF J. H. HUDSON.

John H. Hudson, aged 84 years, 3 months and 2 days, passed away at his home one mile south of Fredonia, about 6 o'clock Monday morning, March 3, 1930. Death was due to an attack of influenza, which he contracted several weeks ago. He was the father of Geo. Hudson and Mrs. W. O. Starns, of Fredonia, W. L. and M. H. Hudson and Mrs. Ethel Williams, of Neodesha, Charles Hudson, of Huntington Park, Calif., and Guy H. Hudson, of Seattle, Wash. He also leaves one brother, Guy H. Hudson, of Yuccaipa, Calif.
This is the first death to occur in the Hudson family since 1886. Mr. Hudson was born and reared in Indiana and was married there to Miss Nancy McMillan. At his death they lacked but 46 days of being married 66 years. Mr. Hudson and family came to Kansas in 1880 and settled on a farm north of Lafontaine, where they lived until about six years ago, when they moved to their farm south of Fredonia, where he died and where his wife is seriously ill. Mr. Hudson was a veteran of the Civil war and a man of high standing among all who knew him.
Short funeral services conducted by Rev. C. O. Wilson of the Christian church were held at the grave and burial was in Koger cemetery at 10 o'clock yesterday morning.
