On August 5th, David M. Fudge died at his home in Stafford County. Rev. S.H. Enyeart preached his funeral sermon at the family residence the following day. The remains were brought here for interment in our city Cemetery, the G.A.R. Pap Thomas Post, of which he was a member, taking charge and performing the burial ceremonies with military honors. Deceased enlisted in Company G. 34th Regiment Iowa Volunteers in April 1862 and was discharged in the fall of 1863, by reason of injuries received in the service. He leaves a wife, one son and two daughters married and two sons and one daughter single, the youngest being fourteen years old. He had been a resident of Kansas since 1874.
