The following is an exerpt From one letter dated "July 22, 1854, Elizabeth Town" from "Clark Sanderson" to "Dear Nephew"
"Mss Eliza M. Baldwin arrived there on the 9th of June. She being a niece of mine the only daughter of my eldest sister Julia Ann. Mss Eliza was married Nov. the 24th, 1852 the next February a year her husband was (word in fold of letter and faded) by the realities of a better world. She has one little daughter about nine months old. She lives in Michigan when at home. She came expressly on a visit Having the desire to see some of her mother's people. She expects to remain there the greater part of the summer."
