She was a secretary for the Eggomatic Corporation in Pennington for many years.
She was a member of Victory Chapter #96, Order of the Eastern Star.
Rita was an avid sportswoman, especially enjoying bowling.
Daughter of the late William C. and Marie Schmidt Jones, wife of the late Jack K. Smith, Sr., and grandmother of the late Sheri Lynn Smith, she is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jack K. Jr. and Betty Jean Smith of Titusville, Gerald G. Smith of Bordentown; four grandchildren, Cynthia Lynn Smith, Kevin Smith, Dennis Smith and his wife Melissa, and David Smith and his wife Kimberly; and two great-grandchildren, Alissa and Hunter Smith.
Funeral services will be held on Monday (Nov. 6) at 11 a.m. at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, 2560 Pennington Road, Pennington, with the Rev. R. William Shaub officiating.Burial will be in the Titusville Methodist Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Masonic Home at Burlington, 902 Jacksonville Road, Burlington, NJ 08016.
