The daughter of the late Ed Kelly and Dora (Koble) Kelly, Goldie was reared and educated in the Cushing area, attending the Round Grove School which was located north west of Cushing. She was united in marriage to Carl Patterson on November 27, 1935 in Cushing and to this union two children, Carlene and Kenny, were born. Goldie and Carl made their home in the Cushing area where Carl farmed and worked in the oilfield.

Goldie was a longtime member of the First Christian Church and although she hasn't been able to attend because of her health, she still proudly told everybody she knew that she was a member there. Many will remember Goldie from her time running the concession stand at the Cushing Youth Center for many years and of course her famous cinnamon rolls she made for every Cushing Youth Center Board meeting.

Some of Goldie's best times were spent with her friends in the "Sew & So Club," but many in the Cushing area know her best by her famous cookies and pies and how she loved to feed everyone. Her family and friends will remember her best for her unique way of getting her point across and how she loved to brag about her grandchildren.

Survivors include one daughter, Carlene Frisbie of Cushing; one son, Kenny Patterson and his wife Jimalea of Guthrie; one brother, Earl Kelly and his wife Juanita of Quapaw, OK; four grandchildren, Holly Tichenor and her husband Joe, Jay Frisbie, Bill Patterson and his wife Debbie, and Aryn Gaskins and her husband Mike; 12 great-grandchildren, Cass Ring and her husband Hunter, Patrick Patterson, Randall James and his wife Kendra, Jeff James and his wife Hayde, Stephany James, Trish Frisbie, Tiff Frisbie, Jayla Frisbie, Ryan Gaskins, Korben Gaskins, Amy Pitchford and her husband Pete, and Chad Tichenor and his wife Belinda; four great-great-grandchildren, Hagan "Bear" Ring, Paul James, Cole Tichenor, and Trey Tichenor; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends including a special nephew Johnny Ray O'Rourke and his wife Imogene.

In addition to her parents, Goldie was preceded in death by her husband Carl on January 28, 2000; one brother, Edward Kelly; one sister, Pearl Brucker; and one son-in-law, Jim "Bear" Frisbie.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contribution be made to the Jim "Bear" Frisbie Scholarship Fund in Goldie's memory and may be mailed to the Cushing Public School Foundation, P.O. Box 1453, Cushing, OK 74023.
