AN OLD FRIEND PASSES TO GREAT BEYOND
The passing on Mr. H. M. Binkley late of Denver but a former resident of Dougals County, brings sorrow to a large-circle of his old friends in this part of the state. In another column will be found an obituary of Mr. Binkley, sent to the Records-Journal by his son, Lewis C. Binlkey, of Denver. In a letter he writes: It was the wish of my father that his Douglas County friends be informed of his passing and the enclosed was written, in part by him some time in the past.

It might be of interest to you that I, myself, about thirty-five or six years age, helped get out the weekly issue of your paper by setting type or running the press after school. I attended the Douglas County High School during the terms of 1906-07 and part of the following term. I believe, though an not sure that the paper at that time was called the Douglas County Records, and we earned a little extra cash by helping get out the paper. "My father was a long time subscriber to your paper as it was a means of keeping in touch with his many friends of Douglas County, I would appreciate very much if you would continue mailing it to me until his present subscription expires, I, Too, have many schoolmates and friends in Franktown and Castle Rock and get much pleasure in reading the paper that my father received."
The many Douglas County friends of the Binkley family extend sympathy to the sorrowing relatives at this time of bereavement.
