Sixth child of Henry and Nannie Walker Breithaupt. His parents called him "Willie" but he didn't like it and wanted to be called "Bill". He first married Mabel Elizabeth Parsons in 1911 at Palm Beach, CA. They had two sons William Henry and Edward Hervey. This marriage ended in divorce in 1920. He secondly married Mary Elizabeth "Bess" Burns June 14, 1920 at Jackson, MS. They were the parents of Virginia Elizabeth, Rose Aline, Joseph Erle, Frank Eugene, Justin Burns and Patrica Ann Breithaupt.
