Cary M. Brecheen died Monday at Veterans Hospital in New Orleans. A native of Louisiana, he was 68 and resided in Denham Springs the past 15 years. Member of Ellis Facundus Post 178, American Legion.

Survived by wife, the former Sally Spillman of Denham Springs; three sons, Jesse Leon and Charles, both of Baton Rouge, Clovis of Denham Springs; six daughters, Mrs. Roy Noble of Baker, Mrs. Robert Wilson of Baton Rouge, Mrs. D.C. Thornton, Mrs. Emmett Allen, Jr., Mrs. Cecil Thompson and Miss Helen Mae Brecheen, all of Denham Springs; four sisters, Mrs. King Byrd of Pensacola, Fla., Mrs. Johnny Bates and Mrs. Knapp Bridges, both of Greensburg, and Mrs. Audrey Blount of Texas; two brothers, Hollis of Grangeville and John of Pine Grove; and 16 grandchildren.

Body at residence. Funeral services to be held sometime Wednesday, at Denham Springs Baptist Church, Dr. Fuller B. Sounders officiating. Burial in Denham Springs Cemetery with military rites at grave.
