Katrine Bradshaw Abernathy, Shawnee, died Friday at her home. She was 91.
Mrs. Abernathy was born March 10, 1909, in Crown King, Ariz.
She graduated from Oklahoma A&M, earning a degree in home economics.
She worked for the home service division of OG&E in Shawnee.
She married Kenneth Abernathy on Dec. 22, 1937. The couple made their home in Shawnee.
Mrs. Abernathy was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, where she taught in the junior department and served as president of the Women's Association.
She was a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood and the Hawthorne Club, and served as president of both organizations.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Abernathy; and her parents.
Survivors include her brother-in-law, George C. Abernathy Jr., Las Vegas, Nev.; a niece, Carri Abernathy Bell, Oklahoma City; and a nephew, Jack H. Abernathy Jr., Rockwall, Texas.
Memorials may be made to the United Presbyterian Church of Shawnee or a charity of choice.
A memorial service was Wednesday at United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Max Shumake officiating. Private burial was held at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel, Shawnee.
