She was born in Henderson County, the daughter of the late Leslie Arthur Chapin and Primrose Evans Chapin and had been a area resident for most of her life. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Rev James C "Jim" Warlick.
A Godly woman and dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she was loved by all who knew her and will be missed by many.
She is survived by two daughters, Sylvia Jones and Elizabeth "Liz" Murphy and her husband Charles, all of Hendersonville; four grandchildren, Bonnie Cave of Charlotte; Mark Jones of Raleigh; Chris Murphy of Hendersonville; Charlene Pickens, also of Hendersonville; six great-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; four nieces, and a special family, the Stepps' of Hendersonville.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30PM, Sunday, November 9, 2008 at the First Church of the Nazarene, Hendersonville. The Rev Harry Widener and Ms W H Gentry will officiate. Burial will follow at Shepherd Memorial Park.
