David F. Cochran, 75, died early this morning at the county home from complications. A millwright for many years, Mr. Cochran had been in ill health for the past five years.
He was born May 1, 1871 (year is not the same as on marker) in Newark the son of William and Catherine Cochran.His wife, the former Ella Mae Edwards preceded him in death in 1930.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Maude Wilson, 660 Poplar St. and Mrs. Stella Jennings, 422 1/2 Main St.; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. One son, one daughter and all of his brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the People's Funeral Home, Rev. John H Shanley officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
