Joe Arambula was born to Joe and Angela (Morales) Arambula, oldest of five brothers—Lupe, Salvador, Chris and Fred. He married Della Baca November 23, 1935. They celebrated their 50th anniversary in 1985, he took care of her after she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease.
He became a naturalized citizen in March 1969. He was a member of the Democratic National Committee and National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare. In his early adulthood, he worked as a farmhand for local farmers, including George Gaylor and the Ehlen family, and later was employed at Armours Meat Packing house and University of Colorado Denver Center. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. He loved the Colorado mountains, and a typical summer Sunday for his family was a trip to the Mother Cabrini Shrine in Golden, followed by a picnic or ride in the Evergreen or Boulder Canyon areas. He enjoyed nature, fishing, gardening, music, tinkering on cars, and watching the Rockies and the Broncos.
He was preceded by his wife, daughters Esther and Maryann, son Frank, son-in-law Paul, and his brothers.Mass of Christian Burial held July 9 at St. Augustine Catholic Church.
