Evelyn D. Swingle, 87, formerly of Stroudsburg, died on Monday at Easton Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Russell J. Swingle, who died in 1993.
Born on October 17, 1911, in Bartonsville, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Elizabeth (Miller) Hartman. She was a member of the Stroudsburg Wesleyan Church.
She was a member of the Stroudsburg Garden Club.
She is survived by a son, Richard L. Swingle, Millsboro, Del.; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald, and a grandson, Randy.
