Ottumwa Courier March 14, 1936

Mrs. Phyllis Hines Eaton, 50, died at the home of her mother, Mrs. Lavina Jacquinot, Black Hawk Street and Quincy Avenue, at 12:05 today. She was the daughter of Augustus and Lavina Jacquinot and was born at Hedrick, September 20, 1876. She had lived in Ottumwa for the last 35 years. Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Jacquinot; one daughter, Mrs. Lila Osborne, Des Moines; three sons, John E. and Harry W. Elliott of Ottumwa and Garrett D. Van Wyck of Prairie city; one brother Vale Jacquinot of Ottumwa; two half-brothers, Walter Surber of Ottumwa and William Sampson of Glades Water Texas. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:30 PM at Johnson's funeral Chapel, conducted by the Rev. A. D. McClure. Burial will be made in Shaul cemetery.
