Services are pending at the Guardian Funeral Home for W. Matson, 69, of 1112 E. Park, who died in his home Sunday following a stroke.
Born in Elletsville, IN, Feb 7, 1887, Matson came to Oklahoma City in 1920 from Jacksboro, TX. Before he retired he was employed by the Fox Vliet Drug Co for 29 years both as a salesman and an office worker. Matson was a 32nd degree Mason and had been a deacon in First Christian Church since 1921.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs Myrtle Matson, of the home; a brother, C. O. Matson, Dallas, TX; and a nephew, Jerry Matson, New Orleans, LA.
