Beloved daughter of Cora May Horn & William Timothy Allen; sister of Joe Allen of Decatur, GA; beloved wife of Richard Alfonso Eckstine; and aunt to many nieces & nephews. Born in Ashland, she had lived in Mobile since 1939. She was active in the Government Street Presbyterian Church & the Army Corps of Engineers Wives Club. She had been a resident of Prattville Health & Rehabiliation Center for the past several months. Pallbearers were Allen Ingram, George Allen, John Allen, William M Sanders Jr, Kirk Sanders, Andrew Sanders, Jimmy Allen, James Allen, Clay Ingram and Maury Ingram. Honorary pallbearers were Earnest A Ingram, Kenneth A Ingram, George M Ingram, Cleve Pace, Dr William M Sanders, Harry Nelson and Jerry Reeves. Family received friends at the Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland until service time. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 21, 2004 at 11 am with Rev David Holmes, Rev Joe Eckstine (brother-in-law) and Dr Joe Allen II officiating.
