Driscoll R. Oglesby, 81, a native of Okaloosa County, FL and resident of Robertsdale died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012. Mr. Oglesby was a Korean War Veteran serving in the U.S. Marine Corp. He retired from law enforcement as an United States Marshall. Mr. Oglesby was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Baker, FL and Fraternal Order of Police. He loved to fish and hunt. He is survived by wife of 61 years, Louise Oglesby of Robertsdale, AL, two daughters, Debbie (Jim) O'Donnell of St. Augustine, FL, Susan (Mike) Canny of Hampton, VA, three grandchildren, Robert (Angelica) Lassetter, Lori (Justin) Forfar, Megan Canny and one great grandchild, Brady Forfar, special friends, Warren Stewart of Robertsdale, AL and Bob Wessells of Shalimar, FL.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 7, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bethel Baptist Church with burial in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, Robertsdale, AL. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. at the church. Pallbearers are Robert Lassetter, Mike Canny, Justin Forfar, Bob Wessells, Wayne Stastka and Dennis Stastka. In lieu fo flowers, memorials may be made to Covenant Hospice, 1040 Stanton Road, Suite D, Daphne, AL 36526. Funeral arrangements are by Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, Hwy. 59 Robertsdale, AL.
