WALTER SKORODA, age 77, of Warminster, died Friday, September 7, 2012. Mr. Skoroda was born March 25, 1935 in Philadelphia, PA. He was the son of the late Walter and the late Magdelena Skoroda. Mr. Skoroda is predeceased by his first wife, Catherine "Kitty" Skoroda. He is survived by his second wife Gloria Cosgrove-Skoroda. Walter was the proud father of five; Ed (Laurie) Skoroda, Michael Skoroda, Debra (Michael) Fanelli, Suzanne (Stephen) Cassidy, Christine (Frank Schultz) Skoroda. Mr. Skoroda was also step father to; Karen (Al) Betz, and Walter (Lisa) Cosgrove. Walter was grandfather of 6 and step-grandfather of 3. He is also survived by two sisters: Helen Zaccairo, and Mary McElroy. In his retired years Walter enjoyed volunteering his time at the Warminster Senior Center. He was also an active member of the Far Northeast Senior Center. Walter's family will greet relatives and friends from 6 to 9P.M. Monday, September 10th., at THE JAMES J. McGHEE FUNERAL HOME, 2nd St. Pike and Belmont Ave., Southampton, PA. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, September 11th, 10 A.M. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 611 Knowles Ave. Southampton, PA., with Msgr. Anthony D'Angelico officiating. Int. for Walter is to be held at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne, PA. In Lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be mailed, in memory of Walter H. Skoroda, to the American Heart Assoc., PO Box 163549 Columbus, OH 43216-3549, or at Heart.org."
