Married Griffin Frost on 10 SEP 1857 in Houston [now Emerson], Marion County, Missouri.

Mrs. Griffin Frost.

Elizabeth Rebecca Johnson was born February 22, 1836, in Marion county, Mo., and died in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, November 28, 1907. It is an unusual coincidence, therefore that she began and ceased to live on a national holiday, being born in Washington's birthday and dying on Thanksgiving Day. On September 10, 1857 she was married to Griffin Frost, and last September they celebrated the 50th anniversary of that day.

Mrs. Frost had been unwell for some time, in fact since February but she became much worse in September. She kept up bravely until her golden wedding occasion, driving out that day but is seemed to have been a last effort, and she sank rapidly afterwards, and for nine days at the last was in a comatose condition, with difficulty rousing sufficiently to know Mrs. Arnold on her last Saturday on earth. She is survived by her husband, and her daughters, Mrs. Annie Ringer and Mrs. S. S. Arnold.

In her younger womanhood she united with the M. E. Church, South, and was true to her church and her God until death. For 31 years she was a resident of Edina, moving with her husband, daughter, and grandson, for the health of the family to Siloam Springs, Arkansas two years ago.

Her memory will be cherished by many bereaved friends in Edina, who sorrow with the family.

Funeral services were held at the home on Thursday, Nov. 28, at 8:45 p.m. and also simultaneously in the home in Arkansas and in the M. E. Church, South, at Edina at 10 a.m. Saturday Nov. 30 the latter service being conducted by Rev. C. S. Rennison, and the remains were interred at the Linville Cemetery. The remains were brought to Edina, to the home of Mr. R. M. Ringer on Friday, Nov. 29.

REV. C. S. RENNISON.
