Advocate News Service EDNA - J.B. "Scooter" Laxson, 65, of Palacios, died Thursday in a Palacios hos-
pital.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Francitas Cemetery with the Rev. James D. Nichols of Houston officiating and under direction of the Jackson County Funeral Service of Edna.
Mr. Laxson was born Feb. 26, 1916, in Bandera, and was an employee of Matagorda County. He was a former resident of Jackson County.
Surviving are his wife, Mildred of Palacios; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Shanajlt and Mrs. Mittie Glass of Houston; three stepsisters, Mrs. LaVerne Baker of La Ward and Ms. Dovie Gresham and Mrs. Barbara Skruppa of Ganado; stepson, the Rev. Dennis E. Vyvial of La Ward; four sisters, Mrs. Lois Anderson of Pledger, Mrs. Gladys Kelley of Blessing, Mrs. Erma Lee Campbell of Palacios and Mrs: Lillian Wallack of South Houston; 17 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
