Joseph, b. 14 May 1773; m. Mary Doughty. When he was married, he settled on land now owned by David Libby, 11-7-1-11-3; after a few years he moved onto the farm now owned by William Libby, 11-7-1-11-11; shortly before his wife's death he sold this and bought a farm in the Ramsdell neighborhood. Here his wife died, 24 Dec. 1838, aged 63, and himself, 1 May 1843. They had no children.
