Twin 13 year old girls returned home from school yesterday to find their mother dead and their 1 year old sister lying peacefully in a crib nearby. Coroner Chester Hager said Mrs. Lucille S. Kettler, 40, of 751 Sherwood Drive, died of a heart attack between 10 and 11 a.m. yesterday while sitting in a living room chair.

Mrs. Kettler, wife of Howard G. Kettler, an engineer at the IBM Business Machines Corp., had no previous record of a heart condition, Hager said. Officials said the twins, Kathleen and Katherine, returned home from Christ the King School about 3 p.m. and found their mother. Their sister, Keeley, was lying in her crib near the chair, Hager reported. The coroner added that the children ran to a neighbor's home and told of being unable to awaken their mother. The neighbor called a physician. Officials said another child, Kristine, 11, remained at school yesterday to attend a Girl Scout meeting.

Mrs. Kettler was a native of Minster, Ohio, and a daughter of the late Al and Mary Moeller Schwieterman. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. Besides her husband and four daughters, survivors include a brother, Richard Schwieterman, Columbus, Ohio and four sisters: Mrs. Leona Hinze, New Knoxville, Ohio; Mrs. Mildred McDermott, Dayton, Ohio; and Mrs. Tom Vanderhorst and Mrs. Alma Makley, both of St. Marys, Ohio.

The body was taken to Whitehall Funeral Chapel, where friends may call after 5 p.m. today. The body will remain at Whitehall until Wednesday morning when it will be taken to the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, Ohio.
