She grew to womanhood in the vicinity of her birth. She was united in marriage to Oscar Swan at Peoria, Iowa, June 20, 1933, to which union two children were born. They lived in Poweshiek county following their marriage, and last February moved to this community and lived southwest of Montezuma. Her father preceded her in death September 18, 1928.
Besides the husband, she leaves to mourn her departure her two children, Junior Jackson and Kenneth K., her mother and step-father, three brothers, Tracy, Raymond and James, one half-brother, Dale Dwayne, and other relatives and friends.
The funeral service was held from the Ross Funeral at 1:30 o'clock Friday afternoon, September 8, 1939, conducted by the Rev Arthur M. Eastman. The body was laid to rest in the Bellefountaine cemetery at Tracy, Iowa.
