Mrs. Etta Carrell Dickey, 77, mother of Morton and Maurice Carrell of here, died in Mill Shoals. Born June.1, 1871 to B.M. and Mary A. Hays Parkinson. She married Thomason Dickey. Leaves 2 sons named above and Earl of Sims, 2 girls, Mrs. Orla Marshall of Sims and Mrs. Merle Jackson of Mill Shoals. Thomason Cemetery.

Note she was first married to Nelson Carrell (spelled Carroll in record) 9/12/1891 in Wayne County, Illinois. He died in 1906. She later married William Thomas Dickey. In 1930 he was listed as a widow. They appear together in the 1940 Mill Shoals census.
