Patricia Joann Vasquez, 67, of Kansas City, Mo., died September 6, 2012, at the Research Medical Center in Kansas City. She was born Sept. 17, 1944, in Salina, Kan., the daughter of Richard A. and Margaret Mary Wolfe Greene. She was a 1962 graduate of Solomon High School, in Solomon, Kan., and attended Marymount College in Salina, Kan. She worked many various jobs as a clerical health secretary with various doctors, She was a co-owner with her husband of the General Deli, in Kansas City, and also worked as a fee basis coordinator for the Kansas City VA Hospital. She was a member of the Kansas City BBQ society, and the VFW. She married Esteban "Steve" Vasquez in Kansas City. He preceded her in death on March 23, 1998. Survivors include two step-sons, Steve Vasquez, Indianapolis, Ind., and Jon Vasquez, Owasso, Okla.; three brothers, Richard J. Greene, Salina, Jeffrey L. Greene, Livonia, NY, and Jerry M. Greene, Meriden, Kan.; and three sisters, Margaret Entwisle, Milwaukee, Wis., Janet Joles, Blue Springs, Mo., and Connie Tucker, Salina; five grandchildren, and one great grandchild, She was preceded in death by one brother, William "Bill" E. Greene. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 2 East 75th St., Kansas City, MO 64114. Inurnment will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, at the Leavenworth VA National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Veterans Memorial of the Donors Choice, and sent in care of the Barnett Family Funeral Home, PO Box 602, Oskaloosa, KS 66066.
