Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by daughters, Mrs. Donald Lawson, Ijamsville, Md.; Mrs. John Thompson, Boonsboro; Mrs. Charles Wright, Middletown; Miss Agnes Askins, at home; sons, William E., Keedysville; James S., Vicksburg, Miss.; Arthur W., Takoma Park, Md.; Bartley A., Hyattsville, Md.; Raymond M., U.S. Marines at Andrews AFB; Don A., U.S. Marines at Quantico, Va.; 26 grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Bessie C. Gollick and Mrs. Stanley Raymond, both of Roscoe, Pa.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services were held at the Bast Funeral Home, Boonsboro; burial was in Locust Grove Cemetery.
