Jack Allen was born December 11, 1919 in Willow, Oklahoma to Jennie Belle and Rufus Allen and passed away May 1, 1997 in the Great Plains Regional Health Center at the age of 77 years, 4 months and 20 days.
Jack graduated from Crawford High School in 1939. He married Opal Fae Caudle on June 16, 1945 in Cheyenne, OK. They moved to the Crawford area, 1 mile east of where they now have their home. It was there that Jack continued to work on the farm and raise 5 sons and 1 daughter. Jack loved the land and worked hard to conserve it for the next generation. He taught his children to work hard and to give their all at whatever they were doing.
He attended the Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 5 brothers, J.R., Clovis, Sam, Josh and Bobby.
He is survived by his wife, Opal Fae of the home; 1 daughter, Glenda Sue Kirk of Cheyenne, OK; 5 sons, Jimmy Allen of Crawford, OK, Jodie Allen of Erick, OK, Johnnie Allen of Hammon, OK, Jerry Allen and Jackie Allen, both of Crawford, OK; 4 sisters, Meadow Belle Smith of Fair Acres, NM, Tennie Dale Campbell, Ellen Daniels and Jimmie Lou Wilmoth, all of Cheyenne, OK; 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchilldren and a host of other relatives and friends.
