HORACE F. BUSH DEAD
The End Came at an Early Hour This Morning

Horace F. Bush died at the Homeopathic Hospital at 1:35 this morning, as a result of an operation performed Tuesday afternoon Mr. Bush had suffered several severe attacks before, but, while he had felt some inconvenience on account of this trouble for some time before the performing of the operation, he was not compelled to remain at his home until Monday, when his condition became rapidly worse and it was deemed expedient to take him to the hospital which was done that day.

Mr. Bush was born in Rochester in 1832, and was the oldest of four children born to John Fellows Bush and Mary Stone, the latter being the first white child born in this city, and the former being one of its earliest residents. He was educated in the public schools of the city and at the Brockport state normal school. Soon after his graduation Mr. Bush engaged in the manufacture of barrel heading and staves, a business which he conducted until his death. His first marriage was to Miss Martha Alling, whose death some years since left him with one son, Frederick M. Bush, now living in this city. He afterward married Miss Stella Flynn, who is still living as are two brothers, William C. Bush and Daniel W. Bush, and one sister, Mrs. Samuel Porter, all of Rochester. Mr. Bush was a well-informed and successful business man, having the confidence and respect of a wide circle in Rochester and vicinity. He was strictly a business man and had no political or other public career.
