OBITUARY [From The Frederick Post, Frederick, MD - September 14, 1965, pg. #5]

Franklin H. Barnhouse, 77, husband of Myrtle Shuff Barnhouse died at his residence in Point of Rocks on Sunday evening following a heart attack.

Born in Lucketts, Va., a son of the late Charles J. and Iva Compher Barnhouse, he retired from the B & O Railroad in 1952. He was a member of the Point of Rocks Methodist Church, a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Clerks, and a member of the B & O Relief.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Maurice E. Barnhouse, Washington, D.C., and James F. Barnhouse, Baltimore; three daughters, Mrs. Alice Hightman, Hyattsville; Mrs. Mildred Gubernick, Philadelphia, Pa.; and Mrs. Louise Hartman, Frederick, one brother, Albert Barnhouse, Washington, D.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Zella Hough, Leesburg, Va., Mrs. Evelyn Graham, Woodridge, Va.; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the M. R. Etchison and Son Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street wher the family will receive friends today, between 7 to 9 P. M. Funeral services will be tomorrow at 2 p. m. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
