HOMER DEPARTMENT – Mrs. Henrietta C. Hawley died at her home on South Main st. in this village at an early hour yesterday morning, aged 63 years. Mrs. Hawley was the daughter of the late Asaph Carpenter of this village and leaves three brothers, Frank B. Carpenter of New York City, Dwight Carpenter of this village and Daniel Carpenter who resides in the West. The deceased was the widow of the late Mr. I. N. Hawley, whom she survived about six years. Mrs. Hawley spent her entire life in this village where she was widely known and highly respected. She was a devoted member of the Congregational church, of which she was a regular attendant until within a short time of her death. The funeral will be held from her late home on South Main-st. to-morrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. The interment will be made in the Glenwood cemetery.
