"Albert T. Mueller, 57, former City Marshall of Mascoutah, died at 8:45 this morning at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Belleville, where he was taken late last night following a stroke at his home, 38 West State Street, Mascoutah.

"Mr. Mueller, who had been in failing health following a previous stroke a number of years ago, at one time was employed at the Griesedieck Western Brewery in Belleville. He was City Marshall at Mascoutah three years.

"He was born May 7, 1892, at Carlyle, son of the late Albert and Mary Rensing Mueller. His wife, who survives him, is the former Olinda Remmert whom he married Oct. 16, 1916, in St. Louis.

"In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter, Ethel, wife of Roy Culli, Route 2, Mascoutah; a brother and sister, Joseph Mueller and Mrs. Lulu Rosen, Carlyle; two half-brothers, Fred Laux, Breese, and Julius Laux, Carlyle; and two grandchildren.

"Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Moll funeral home in Mascoutah, the Rev. A. W. Hoelscher, pastor of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church, officiating. Burial will be in Mascoutah City Cemetery.

"Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 o'clock tonight."
