He was born and raised in New Plymouth, Idaho.
Mr. Collinsworth joined the Army Corps of Engineers during WWII and then graduated from the University of Idaho.
In 1979 he retired from the Bureau of Indian Affairs and enjoyed his retirement to the fullest, and attended First Evangelical Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Virblee Collinsworth; daughter, Genalee (Rev. Jeff) Findlay; sons, David (Clara) and Alan (Becky) Collinsworth; brother, Gordon Collinsworth; grandchildren, Kaylee, Kelsey, and Kelli Findlay, Chad (Amy) and Matt (Bobbi) Collinsworth, Michelle (Eric) Weber, A.J. Collinsworth, and Katie (David) Wilder; and great-grandchildren, Jake, Eddie, Grace, Olivia, Aaron, Addie, Levi, Vincent, and Will.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, September 8, at Audubon Town Village in the Town Hall and the family will receive friends following the service from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. Memorial Park Funeral Home, "Behind the stone wall", 901-767-8930.
