Estel Leroy Carey of Steelville, MO passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan at the age of 44 years. He was born July 2, 1968 in Sullivan, MO to George Leroy Carey and Ina Britton Carey.
He was employed at Huzzah Valley Resort. Estel was raised in the Pentecostal Faith. His hobbies included bowling, camping and being a big fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and wrestling.
He will be sadly missed by his mother Ina Carey of Steelville, MO; his wife Stacie of Steelville, MO; three sons Matthew Paul Ross of Troy, MO, Cody Allen Carey and Brandon Leroy Carey both of Steelville, MO; two daughters Ashley Rene Carey and Lisa Marie Carey both of Steelville, MO; one brother Cleton Carey of Steelville, MO; two sisters Pamela Hollins of IL and Donna Burke of WI; grandmother Helen Gray of Cuba, MO; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Harry Gray and Roy and Alice Britton; his father George Carey; and two brothers Clayton and Dempsey Carey
The Family received friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO with Pastor Terry Mahurin officiating. Special music of "It is Well with My Soul" was sang and played by Joni Mahurin. Other music of "Daddy's Hands", "Go Rest High" and "See" was also played.
Committal prayer and burial were in the Steelville Cemetery at Steelville, MO.
Honored to be casket bearers were Terry Garrison, Shane Ryerson, Daniel Schilling, Faron Fulliam, Joe Woodson and James Bell.
