Obituary:
Mary Seina Heath Johnson, 77, of McRae, died Sunday, September 2. Funeral services will be at 11:00A.M., Wednesday, September 5, at McRae First Baptist Church with burial in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday, 7:00-9:00P.M.
A native and lifelong resident of McRae, Mrs. Johnson was the daughter of the late Arthur G. and Frances Sullivan Heath. A homemaker for most of her life, she also worked as a clerk at Bradfield Brothers Department Store and as the county clerk for several years, and worked for the Welfare Department.
A faithful member of Eastern Star since the age of 18, Mrs. Johnson served for 59 years, including 5 years as Worth Matron and twice as District Grand Deputy. She was a lifelong member of McRae First Baptist Church and was preceded in death by sisters, Swilley H. Knowles, Roena H. Buford and Emma Mae H. Carter.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. F. Glynn Johnson, McRae; daughter, Sue Arrington, Douglasville; and sons, Heath Johnson, Bloomington, IL and David Johnson, Conyers; sisters, Jewel H. Durrence, Reidsville, Pearl H. Powell, McRae; and grandchildren, Jessica Hughes, Haley Arrington, Kate Desormeaux, Wes Johnson and Nicole Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to McRae First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O.
