Earl H. Waltz was the son of Merle H. Waltz and Cora B. Packard. He married Jean L. Miller in 1927. Earl was declared dead after the airplane carrying him home from a business trip in Washington, D.C. went missing over the weekend of May 17-18, 1941.

Clevelanders' Bodies Found in Mountain "graveyard".
The bodies of Earl H. Waltz of 3911 Windsor Road and Daniel Stone of 17720 Berwyn Road disappeared on May 17 during a airplane flight that flew through a heavy storm.
The wreckage was found on Nov 30 by a sawmill operator while logging.
It is believed that the men died quickly.
They were on their way home from a business trip that took them to several cities.
