Funeral services were held Friday afternoon for Samuel E Clements, 56, of Elkhart, who died June 9, after an illness since 1934. The Rev Woodrow Kennell pastor of the first EUB church, of which he was a member, was in charge of the service which was held at the Westbrook Chapel in Elkhart, with burial in Rice Cemetery.
Mr Clements, an insurance agent practically all his life, was born near Wakarusa, March 27, 1892, the son of Noah and Frances (Pletcher) Clements.
His marriage to Hilma Weiss took place in Elkhart June 26, 1913.
She survives with a son, Merrill E Clements, of Memphis, Tenn.
