James Joseph Ostrander (Jimmy Joe) passed away at age 53 in Memphis, TN, after a six-year battle with cancer. Jimmy Joe was born and raised in Kansas City, MO, and attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Redemptorist) Grade School and DeLaSalle High School where he was active in the Drama Club. One of his most memorable roles was that of Elvis Presley's boss in "Elvis, the Early Years," appearing in several episodes of the series. His popularity with the Memphis theatrical community was so great that the Memphis Theatre Awards, the area's equivalent to a Tony, where renamed "the Ostranders" last year in his honor.

In the past decade, he was the owner and operator of Delta Casting, Memphis, serving as agent to locate acting talent for commercials and theatrical productions.
