Esther Christine Carlson, daughter of John and Katherine Rouscher was born April 16, 1892, at Sutton, Nebraska, and passed from this life Sunday, August 9, 1981, in Sutton.

Esther was baptized and confirmed at the Emmanuel Reformed Church in Sutton.

She attended Sutton school and after her father's death she worked at the Burlingame store until she was united in marriage to Albin Carlson of Verona. To this union two children were born, Homer and Arlene.

Esther attended church in Verona until she moved to Sutton where she attended the Emmanuel Reformed Church.

Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Albin, and a daughter-in-law, Frances.

She moved to Sutton after the death of her husband and became involved in many activities including the Womens Club, The Verona Ladies Aid and the Emmanuel Reformed Church, Ladies Aid.

Throughout her years, she was active in her flower and vegetable gardening.

She leaves to mourn, her son Homer of Sutton; her daughter Arlenee of Bellevue, and a son-in-law, Bob Atwood of Bellevue, four grandchildren & seven great-grandchildren.

Esther was a kind and loving mother and grandmother and a very special friend to many and will be deeply missed by all.

The memorial Service was held Aug. 12 at the Emmanuel Reformed Church with Rev. Vernon Pollema officiating.

The soloist was Rose Fehr, with Helen Maser as organist. The pallbearers were Clifford Burkland, Don Trautman, Max Jacobson, Walter Maser, Vern Reichert & Paul Burkland.

Interment was in Sutton cemetery (sic).
