OAKRIDGE - The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29 at First Baptist Church First Baptist Church in Oakridge for Alta M. Racy-McMurrick of Oakridge, who died Dec. 24 of age-related causes at age 77. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. at the church. Burial at Forestvale Memorial Park in Oakridge will follow the service. Following the burial service, a reception will be held at the church.
She was born March 27, 1929, in Muse, Okla., to Ezra Monroe and Dona Fisher Allen. She married Bud Racy on Aug. 9, 1947 in Reno, Nev. He died March 6, 1996. She married Robert McMurrick on Dec. 18, 1999, in Oakridge.
Racy-McMurrick worked for more than 20 years for a lumber mill.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Janice Totten; a son, David Racy; five siblings, Naomi, Ulas, Bob, Ann and Clarence; and numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
