FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR IDA MAY GRUMAN

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 24, 1974 at the Grace United Methodist Church, Lamont, for Mrs. Ida Gruman. Rev Donald Bardole officiated at the services and internment at Campton Cemetery Lamont.

Ida May Dunsmoor, the daughter of Frederick M. and Harriet (Sargent) Dunsmoor was born September l, 1881 on a farm northeast of Lamont in Cass township in Clayton County. At the age of eight she moved with her parents to Strawberry Point. She received her education at the "covered bridge" county school near her place of birth and at the Strawberry Point school. At an early age she became a member of the Strawberry Point Methodist Church. Her membership was later transferred to the County Corners Church, then to the Grace United Methodist Church in Lamont.

She was united in marriage to Martin E. Gruman on February 26, 1902 at Strawberry Point. They lived on a farm about three miles northeast of Lamont where they made their home for eight years. I n 1910 they moved to their home in Lamont.

Ida May Gruman, at the age of 92, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Blanche Schneider in Cedar Rapids on Thursday June 20, 1974, following a long illness.

She is survived by three daughters Ethel (Mrs. Harvey Oswald) of Dubuque; Blanche (Mrs. V.F. Schneider) of Cedar Rapids; Eva (Mrs. Cecil Sheldon) of Lamont; one son Glenn of Lamont; two sisters, Mrs. E. N. Dunsmoor, Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Ben Rogers, Lacrosse, Wisconsin; 13 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, Dale Frederick who died in infancy.
