MRS. REBECCA WELCH LILLY

On September 13, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Kiblin, Mrs. Rebecca Welch Lilly, died, aged
84 years 4 months 29 days.

She was the oldest of a family of ten children born to George and Emily Deremo, in this town. In 1851 she was married to David .Welch, and to them were born six children, of whom four survive: James A. Welch and Mrs. Frank Kiblin of Sandy Creek; Clark J. Welch of Johnstown, Pa., and Mrs. Mae Stevens of Erie, Pa. David Welch served in the Civil war and was wounded in the battle of Gettysburg in 1863, dying a short time afterward, and was buried in the government cemetery there. Several years later Mrs. Welch was married to Turner Lilly, who passed away several years ago. She has since made her home with, her daughter, Mrs. Frank Kiblin. As bar body grew weakened with age, her daily prayer was that she might soon be with her Saviour and the many friends that had gone before.

Rev. T.T. Davies officiated at the funeral and the interment was in Woodlawn cemetery
