Alice S. Roudabush died Oct. 18, at the People's Memorial hospital in Independence. She had suffered a stroke in November, 1969, and since that time has been hospitalized most of the time in Waterloo, Oelwein and Independence.

Alice Sophia Roudabush was born Sept. 18, 1907, to Ole and Ingeborg Haugen Midtbruget at Hanska, Minn. She spent her girlhood years there, except for a brief time in Fairfax and Dassel, Minn., and attended grade and high school in Hanska. She worked as a telephone operator until her marriage to Gilbert Roudabush on June 4, 1926. They lived in the Brooklyn and Manchester areas until they purchased their present farm near Lamont in 1940, where she spent her last 30 years.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Colette) Schweitzer, of Winthrop and Mrs. Clair (Marlys) Reed of Ankeny; a son, James of Addison, Ill., two brothers and two sisters; Mrs. Josephine Bellinger and Maurice Midtbruget of Indianapolis, Ind., Mrs. Effie Vold, Windom, Minn. and Einar Midtbruget of Anaheim, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter.
