Jacob John Ackerman, Sr., son of Jacob Ackerman and Jacobine Rodenberg, born in Hallgarten, Bavaria. On Mar 25,1844 in Pfalz, Feil Binger, Germany, he would marry Charlotte Hartman, daughter of Johann Daniel Hartmann and Rosina Elizabetha Schaefer. In about 1855 they would immigrate with 3 children. A 4th child would be born in Tamaqua, PA in 1857.

Cemetery records show his stone is in Row 27, site 350 but no stone was found. Charlotte Ackerman is buried in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Tamaqua.
