Paducah Sun, 5 Jun 2002 - SOUTH FULTON, Tenn.--Services for Vira Tansil McIlwain, 100, of South Fulton will be at 4 p.m. today at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton, Ky. Gertrude Carey will officiate. Burial will be in Obion County Memorial Gardens in Union City.
Mrs. McIlwain died Monday at her home.
She was of the Pentecostal faith.
Surviving are five daughters, Judy McIlwain and Jean Hollingsworth, both of South Fulton, Margaret Kennedy and Barbara Simmons, both of Union City, and Mary Wright of Water Valley; one son, Charles McIlwain of Union City; three sisters, Nell Panzica of St. Louis, Mozell McGary and Margaret Freese, both of New Franklin, Mo.; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John McIlwain; two sons, Glenn McIlwain and Marion McIlwain; one brother; and two sisters. Her parents were Tom and Kate Cole Tansil.
