Survivors are the wife, Bertha, formerly of Providence; two daughters, Mrs. Minnie Phillips, Anderson, Indiana, and Mrs. Mae Barnett, Louisville; two sons, James of Detroit, Michigan, and Francis of Anderson, Indiana; three sisters, Mrs. Sarah Craft and Mrs. Ethel Goodrich of Dawson Springs, and Mrs. Minnie Cook of Princeton; and four brothers, Seabie of Madisonville, Lucien, Emmett, and Luther of Dawson Springs.
The body was at Melton Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at New Salem Baptist Church near Mortons Gap, with the Rev. Kenneth Matthews of Henderson officiating.
Burial was in New Salem cemetery.
