Mrs Bessie Mae Berry, 84, of Yucca Valley, CA and formerly of Clark, died Nov 2,1993 at Yucca Valley, CA. Graveside services were held Nov 5 at Rosehill Memorial Park in Whittier, CA.
Mrs Berry was born to Wm. A. and Valasta (Komrs) Huffman at Gilead, NE on Sept 7, 1909. She moved to Clark with her family at an early age and attended Clark schools graduating in 1927. She attended Teachers College at Madison and spent several years teaching Clark County rural schools including Woodland, Lincoln and Pleasant Township schools.
In 1941 she moved to California. She married Doyle (Jack) Berry on Sept 19,1947. They made their home in Pico Rivers, CA. She was employed in a spring manufacture plant doing general office work. She retired and they moved to Bullhead City, AZ in 1972. Mr Berry died Sept 8,1972.
She was a member of the Methodist Church in Bullhead City and involved in Senion Citizens activities.
Survivors are a sister, Frances Huff of Yucca Valley, CA; several sisters-in-law, including Orva Schwartz of Clark and Frances Huffman of Whittier, CA; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle; her parents; a sister, Linda Kitterman and four brothers, Charles, Frank, Albert and George.
